September 15,2004 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,September 15,2004,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,President Hatee presiding, Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Krell,Olson,HaIoe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Member Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> OATH—COUNCIL POSITION N0.5 <br /> Judge Larry MCKeeman,Superior Court,administered the oath of once to <br /> Drew Nielsen,Council Position No.5. <br /> The City Council meeting recessed fora brief reception and reconvened. <br /> The minutes of the September 2,2004 and September 8,2004 City <br /> Council meetings were approved as primed. Council Member Nielsen <br /> abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Meyer Stephenson proclaimed September 15, 2004 as °National <br /> POW/MIA Recognition Day." He presented the proclamation to Marilyn <br /> Walters whose brother was a POW during the Korean conflict. <br /> The Mayor welcomed Drew Nielsen to the City Council. <br /> He congratulated Council Member Krell for her leadership on Proposition <br /> No.1,to Increase the sales tax for Everett Trens'E <br /> COUNCIL <br /> The council members welcomed Drew Nielson to the City Council and <br /> commented on the passage of Proposition No.1,to increase the sales tax <br /> for Everett Transit. <br /> 296 <br />
