September 20,2004 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am.,September 20,2004 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,Vice President Gipson presiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Krell,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher <br /> and Overstreet were present Council Members Olson and Hattie were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 15,2004 Everett City Council meeting <br /> were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson reported that he participated Ina Cohe Fishing Derby <br /> this past weekend.It is the largest salmon derby on the West Coast and <br /> there were 2500 paid participants,This is the second year it has been <br /> held in Everett.Itis an Incredible event that we should be proud of. <br /> REPORT—DOMESTIC VIOLENCE <br /> Teresa Cox,Domestic Violence Prosecutor for the City of Everett,gave <br /> an update to the city council regarding domestic violence issues and <br /> programs. She announced that a domestic violence/sexualassault <br /> summit is going to be held October 161 at the Everett Events Center.It will <br /> be sponsored by the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women and <br /> the Providence Everett Sexual Assault Center. She encouraged all to <br /> attend and thanked the council members for their continued support. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Stonecipher reported that she end Council Members <br /> *-Olsen and Krell toured the Everett Water Treatment Facility and Sultan <br /> Basin Water Shed Area. <br /> +�OverAt est <br /> 301 <br />
