February 9,2005 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,February 9,2005 In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hell,President Krell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Krell, Hatice,Gipson, Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. Council Member Olson was <br /> excused. <br /> Mab Pool,Scout Troop 114,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 2,2005 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson reported on his recent trip to Washington,D.C.to <br /> meet with Pentagon officials and Congressional delegates regarding the <br /> Base Realignment and Closure(BRAC)process. <br /> He also reported on his trip to Olympia to testify on Senate Bill No.5425, <br /> a higher education bill for North Snohomish County. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Hattie commended Mayor Stephenson and Pat McClain <br /> for their hard work regarding the BRAC process. <br /> Council Member Krell reported on her attendance et a breakfast <br /> sponsored by the Medic One Foundation to raise money for defibrillators <br /> for schools. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to approve the followino consent agenda items: <br /> 34 <br />
