August17.2005 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,August 17,2005,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Krell presiding, Upon roll call It was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Nielsen,and <br /> Overstreet were present.Council Member Stonecipher was excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Council Member Olson requested that his comments at the August 10, <br /> 2005 Council meeting be cemented to read'Transportation Committee" <br /> instead of'Transportation Advisory Committee." The minutes of the <br /> August 10,2005 Everett City Council meeting were approved as <br /> corrected.Council Member Hatloe abstained from the vote. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Assistant City Attorney Camp requested an executive session regarding a <br /> litigation matter following citizen comments.The session is expected to <br /> last approximately 10 minutes with no anticipated announcement to <br /> follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Pete Peters,4214 Federal Avenue,stated that he lives 400 feet from the <br /> Dick Raymond/Andrew Volk Firing Range and expressed concem <br /> regarding the health affects of high decibel noise from the range en he <br /> and his wife. He remarked that a 1983 agreement between the City of <br /> Everett and the Police Officers Association allows the association <br /> members to consume alcohol and fire weapons at the range whenever <br /> they choose. <br /> Captain Lineberry,Police,spoke regarding the restrictions imposed at the <br /> range in respect to hours of use.He clarified that the range is for Police <br /> Department training only and is no longer used for training by the Police <br /> Officers'Association. He remarked that the Police Officers'Association <br /> does have a facility at the range where they hold their meetings and other <br /> 267 <br />
