March 29,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,March 29,2006 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett Cly <br /> Hall,"resident Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Olson,Ha0ue,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Overstreet were present.Council Member Roberts was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 22,2006 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed March 31 and April 1,2008 as"Crazy Hair <br /> Day.' He presented the proclamation to Nancy Johnson,Children's �. <br /> Museum. <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced that a diversity business expo will be held <br /> tonight from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m in the Weyerhaeuser Room at the Everett <br /> Station to help women and minority-owned businesses team how to <br /> conduct business with local municipalities. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet remarked that he had shared the diversity <br /> business expo idea with members of the National League of Close' <br /> Advisory Council and that it was well received. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston requested an executive cc aaiion regarding Iwo real <br /> estate matters.The session is expected to last approximately 15 minutes <br /> with no anticipated announcement to follow. <br /> 84 <br />
