February 24,2010 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 <br /> p.m.,February 24,2010 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Roberts presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Moore,Hetloe,Gipson,Nielsen <br /> and Stonecipher were present Council Member Aflholter was excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 17,2010 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson commented on the care transit operators take in <br /> providing services to our citizens. <br /> President Roberts reported that he expressed his concems to the Sound <br /> Transit Board regarding the importance of maintaining the publics trust in <br /> relation to the Sound Transit 2(ST2)projects.He noted that there are no <br /> additional funds for projects other than those that were specified in the <br /> proposal. He stated that he also asked the Sound Transit Board to <br /> consider bringing light rail to downtown Everett and our aerospace <br /> industry in an ST3 package. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session at the end of the <br /> meeting to address a litigation matter. The session should last <br /> approximately thirty minutes with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> David Mascarenas,Everett,asked questions related to agenda item <br /> number e,a proposed ordinance regarding the issuance and sale of <br /> Limited Tax General Obligation Bonds. <br /> 53 <br />
