April21,2010 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 0:30 <br /> p.m.,April 21,2010,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Roberts presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Council <br /> Members Roberts,Moore,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher and Affhotter <br /> re present. Mayor Stephenson and Council Member Hatloe were <br /> e <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 14,2010 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> TRAFFIC ZONE AWARENESS WEEK <br /> Dave Davis, Public Works,offered statistics regarding work zone <br /> accidents and fatalities.He stated that the city of Everett has been very <br /> fortunate not to have any serious accidents to date.He reminded citizens <br /> to slow down and be cautious while driving through work zones. <br /> Council Member Affhofter requested background information regarding <br /> the Tethys contract.Debra Bryant,Administration,stated that she would <br /> provide information to the council members in the near future. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attomey Iles had no comment <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Steve Corotas,Everett;Jackie Minchew,Everett;Victor Herds,Everett; <br /> and Edward Scott,Everett,discussed the pros and cons of the ordinance <br /> banning bicycles from being ridden on city sidewalks. <br /> 105 <br />
