August 4,2010 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,August 4,2010,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Roberts presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Moore,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Affholter were present. Council Member Stonecipher was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 28,2010 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH <br /> Deputy Police Chief Atwood introduced three new police officers. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to concur with the appointments of Doug Jackson,Steve <br /> Abbott,and Josh Doman as police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting except Council Member <br /> Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered their oath of office and Mayor <br /> Stephenson presented them with their badges. <br /> Mayor Stephenson noted that the pianos began playing throughout <br /> downtown today.He stated that last night was National Night Out Against <br /> Crime. He visited nine neighborhoods,three of which were first time <br /> events. <br /> 226 <br />
