October 6,2010 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,October 8,2010 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Roberts presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Maycr <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Gipson, Nielsen, and <br /> Stonecipher,were present Council Members Moore,Hatloe and Affholter <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 29,2010 Everett City Council meeting <br /> were approved as printed. Council Member Gipson abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to concur with the appointment of Brett Steward as a <br /> new police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Moore,Hetloe end Affholter who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered his oath of office and Mayor <br /> Stephenson presented him with his badge. <br /> COUNCIL PRE Ie1SOENT <br /> Council President Roberts suggested that because there are only four <br /> council members present and one of them has a family emergency,they <br /> suspend their normal procedures and move to action items so that the <br /> meeting can be expedited. He apologized to those who came for the <br /> public hearing end remarked that they were to be continued in any event. <br /> 278 <br />
