August 3,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,August 3,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Affholter presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Moore,Gipson,Stonecipher and <br /> Affholter were present. Coundl Members Roberts,Hetiae and Nielsen <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 20,2011 and July 27,2011 Everett City Council <br /> meetings were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson had no comment. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he enjoyed the National Night Out <br /> events,and thanked the police and fire departments and Mayor <br /> Stephenson for their roles in it. <br /> Council President Affholter concurred,and thanked the volunteers who <br /> helped make the National Night Out events a success. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> James Robert Deal,Lynnwood,presented documents supporting his view <br /> that fluoridation of drinking water should cease. <br /> Otemara Peters,Redmond,opined that its effects are long-tern end <br /> cumulative,and that fluoride should be removed from the water supply. <br /> 218 <br />
