I' <br /> 40:: , <br /> 144 '101'of <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6156 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing Everett Transit to change its fixed route adult fares <br /> effective July 1, 2009. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett, through Everett Transit has provided transit service <br /> since 1969; and <br /> WHEREAS, in September 2006, Everett Transit changed its base fare to fifty cents per <br /> trip and eliminated paper transfers; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Transit is part of the Regional Fare Agreement, which includes <br /> Sound Transit, Community Transit, Kitsap Transit, King County Metro, Pierce Transit <br /> and Washington State Ferries representing One Regional Card for All (ORCA); and <br /> WHEREAS, with the introduction of the ORCA card, transfers are re-introduced <br /> electronically into the Everett Transit system; and <br /> WHEREAS, an adult base cash fare increase from fifty cents to seventy-five cents <br /> increases the monthly cost for unlimited fixed route service from eighteen dollars to <br /> twenty-seven dollars with purchase of a monthly pass product; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of Everett: <br /> Effective July 1, 2009, Everett Transit's fixed route adult fares shall increase from fifty <br /> cents to seventy-five cents per trip and the monthly pass product shall increase from <br /> eighteen dollars to twenty-seven dollars. ,, <br /> Councilperson - e,•ucing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 17 day of June , 2009. <br /> =._ <br /> Council President <br />
