• <br /> RESOLUTION NO 617 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION Concerning the 2008 and 2009 Action Plans and <br /> repealing Resolution No. 6143 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community <br /> development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the <br /> United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett is <br /> entitled to receive $928,451.00 for 2009; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant-R (CDBG-R) funds have been made available through <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett <br /> is entitled to receive $249,826.00 for 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, through Interlocal Agreement, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds this year in the <br /> amount of$479,323.00; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the <br /> housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its recommendation for <br /> 2009 CDBG funds; 2007, 2008 and 2009 HOME funds; 2007 and 2008 ADDI funds; 2008 CDBG-R funds; <br /> and 2009 2060 Housing Trust funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above <br /> committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2009 Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority and <br /> other non-profit service providers and they were provided the direction given by the City Council if <br /> additional funding were received; and <br /> WHEREAS, since the adoption of Resolution No. 6143, HUD regulations have been clarified for CDBG-R <br /> and HOME funding; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> THAT: <br /> 1.
