3661 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF FIRE ARMS AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES <br /> FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm <br /> or corporation engaged in the business of selling or disposing <br /> of short fire arms to sell or give away to any person within the <br /> City of Everett any pistol, revolver or short fire arm or weapon <br /> of like character which can be concealed on the person without <br /> securing a license so to do as hereafter provided from the City <br /> of Everett and the State of Washington. <br /> Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation engaged in <br /> the business of selling or disposing of pistols, revolvers or <br /> short fire arms shall first secure and have in his or its <br /> possession and in full force and effect a dealer' s license <br /> issued by the City of Everett and a dealer 's license as provided <br /> by R.C.W. 9.41. 110 of the laws of the State of Washington. <br /> Section 3: Any person, firm or corporation desiring a <br /> license as—aaealer shall make application in writing to the <br /> Chief of Police of the City of Everett, setting out the full name <br /> and residence of the applicant and the place and location at <br /> which it is intended to conduct such business. Such license <br /> shall be known as a "Concealed Weapons License" and the fee <br /> therefor shall be the sum of $25.00 per year payable in advance <br /> and shall expire on the first day of January of each and every <br /> year. The City Clerk is authorized to issue such license, if the <br /> application therefor is approved by the Chief of Police, upon <br /> presentation of a receipt from the City Treasurer showing payment <br /> of the license fee . <br /> Section 4: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm <br /> or corporation not engaged in the business or selling or dis- <br /> posing of short fire arms to make a sale or deliver any pistol, <br /> revolver or short fire arm as defined by the laws of the State <br /> of Washington without complying with R.C.W. 9.41.090. <br /> Section 5: Any person who shall violate or fail to <br /> comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br /> punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding 3300.00 or by im- <br /> prisonment in the city jail for a term not exceeding 30 days, or <br /> by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> ----‘-4.71-"'M AY01 ---: <br /> Attest: <br /> --, <br /> d, )K <br /> - / -ityC er <br /> Passed: FEB 1 1 '958 <br /> Published: FEB 1 :i 1JOd <br />
