ORDINANCE NO. 3521. <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of <br /> the City of Everett, entitled: <br /> "An Ordinance relating to the removal of garbage, <br /> refuse, ashes, filth, and other substances in the <br /> City of Everett, relating to the licensing of city <br /> scavengers, prescribing the powers and duties of such <br /> scavengers, regulating the amount of charges to be <br /> made by them for scavenger work, prescribing the <br /> punishment for the violation thereof and repealing <br /> Ordinances No. 33, No. 44, and No. 299 of the City of <br /> Everett. " <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of the <br /> City of Everett as previously amended by Ordinance No. 3308 of the <br /> City of Everett is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 11: The City Scavenger shall receive no <br /> compensation from the City of Everett for any services <br /> performed for any person, firm or corporation other than <br /> the City. Such compensation shall be collected by them <br /> from the person or persons, firm or corporation for <br /> whom the work shall have been performed. <br /> The schedule of charges to be made 5y the City <br /> Scavenger on and after September 1, 1955 shall be as <br /> follows: <br /> (a) Residences. Where garbage cans are located <br /> accessibly to curb, street or alley from which <br /> collection is to be made one can per week 1,15 per <br /> month; for each additional can over one can per week <br /> the charges shall be 60¢' per month. Where garbage <br /> cans are not located accessibly a reasonable additional <br /> charge shall be made. <br /> (h) The charge for collecting garbage and refuse <br /> from hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, eating <br /> places, apartment house, hospitals and business places <br /> shall be as follows: One garbage can per week !'1. 61 <br /> per month; over one can 98r/ per can per month for <br /> each additional can up to six cans per week; for <br /> additional cans over six cans per week a charge of <br /> 12;' ner can shall be made. <br /> (c) The following charges shall be made for the <br /> removal and disposal of dead animals. <br /> A cat, dog or other small animal `(p1. 00 per animal. <br /> A horse, cove cr other large animal ;6.00 per animal. <br /> All payments for such services shall be in advance. <br /> -1- <br />
