r ORDINANCE No. ^r 0/ AN OFDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of Everett the pf;oposition of authorizing tine levying of a tax upon the real and personal property in Everett , in the year 1947 , of three mills, in addition_ to the fifteen mills and other levies authorized by Article VII , Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, and Chapter 253 of the maws of 1945 of the State of Washington, for the purpose of providing funds for the acquisition and installation of a comprehensive traffic control system; creating a special fund to be known as "Comprehensive '-'r-affic Control System Fund" and providing for the issuance of warrants on said fund; providing the form of ballot to be used at said election and requesting the Election Board of Snohomish County, `udashington, to call and hold said election, on the First Tuesday following the. rirst Monday in November 1946 . THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES OTDAIN: Section 1: That there shall be submitted to the quali- fied electors of Lverett the propsotion of authorizing said City to levy in the year 1947 on all taxable property within said City a tax of three mills, in addition to the fifteen mills levy and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, andChapter 253 of the Laws of 1945 of the State of T. ashington, for the purpose of providing funds for the acquisition and installation of a comprehensive traffic control system. Section 2: lhat the form of the ballot to be used at said electidishall be as follows: Shall the City of Lverett be authorized to levy in the year 1947 a tax of three mills, in addition to the fifteen mills and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, and Chapter 253 of the Laws of 1945 of the. State of. Washington, for the purpose of providing funds for the acquisition and installation of a comprehensive traffic control system? YES ( ) No ( ) Section 3: That there is hererTT created a special fund to be known as "Comprehensive Traffic Control System Fund" ' and there shall be paid into said fund the proceeds of the three mills tax to be levied in the year 1947 . Section 4: That the expenditures for said purpose shall be made by the City of Lverett , and the same shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants dram on said fund by the proper officers of said City of Everett as Provided by law.
