ORDINANCE No. <br /> 3066 . <br /> AN ORDINANCE declaring a public emergency exists, allocat- <br /> ing certain funds to the Treasurer's Department for the purchase of <br /> parking meters, parking meter parts and motor cycle ; <br /> THAT WHEREAS, at the time of making of the budget for the <br /> year 1946 it could not have been reasonably foreseen that an in- <br /> crease in the traffic of the City of Everett would rewire the <br /> additional installation of parking meters, the repair of certain <br /> parking meters and the purchase of a motor cycle ; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase One Hundred (100) <br /> parking meters, certain parking meter parts and a motor cycle <br /> all at the reasonable value of : 8738.00 , in orrver to meet the <br /> present traffic problem. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the sum of Eighty-seven Hundred <br /> Thirty-eight Dollars ( 8738.00) be , and the same is hereby allocated <br /> to the Treasurer' s Department of the city of Everett for the purpose <br /> of purchasing One Hundred ( 100 ) parking meters, certain parking <br /> meter parts and a motor cycle. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated out <br /> of the General Current Expense r'und of Everett , not otherwise <br /> budgeted, the sun of Eighty-seven Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars <br /> ( ,8738.00) , which sum shall be paid by the issuance of emergency <br /> warrants drawn on such funds by the proper officers of the City <br /> of Everett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3: ihat an emergency is declared to exist � <br /> and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> b/WAV <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: April 17th, 1946. <br /> Published: Apri 1 lith, 1946 . <br />
