- A .. • fr - . ...., <br /> ORDINANCE NO . 2988. <br /> P T ORDINANCE creating the office of Plumbing Inspector <br /> in the Inspection Department of the City of Everett ; fixing. <br /> his salary, prescribing his duties and fixing his term of <br /> office from August 17 , 1943 , until December 31, 1943 ; making <br /> an appropriation from the General Fund to pay said salary, <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> 1.7EREAS, by reason of the increased building activities <br /> in the City of Everett for the year 1943 it is necessary to <br /> have a full time plumbing: inspector to protect the welfare <br /> and health of the City of Evere tt . <br /> NOW, TT-T REFORE, T ,T C TY OF E`r;RFTm DO: ORD:�?IN: <br /> Section 1 : That there he and hereby is created in the <br /> Inspection_ Department of the City of Everett the office of <br /> Plumbinc Inspector . It shall be the duty of such officer to <br /> perform such duties as the Commissioner of Publicworks shall <br /> authorize and direct and to act as plun ibin,- inspector under <br /> the ordinances of the City of Everett . <br /> Section 2: The term of office of said olumbin,-: inspector <br /> shall be from the 17tr- day of August , 1943, until the 31st day <br /> of December , 1943 , and the salary of said plumbing inspector <br /> shall be light and 25/100 Dollars ( r . 25 per day. Said <br /> plumbing inspector shall be appointed by the Commissionerof <br /> Public horks. <br /> Section 3 : That by reason of the building activities in <br /> the City of Everett for tree year 1943 it is necessary that <br /> there be a full time plumbing inspector and the necessity there- <br /> for could not have been foreseen at the time of making the budget <br /> for the year 1943 , to-wit : In October , 1942 , and by reason <br /> thereof au emergency no,ri exists. <br /> Section 4: That there be and hereby is appropriated out <br /> of the General . und, not otherwise budgeted, the sum. of Fine <br /> uundred Tv enty and no/10C Dollars ( 920 .u6 ) , for the purpose <br /> of payinr: the salary of said plumbing inspector, and said salary <br /> shall_ be paid by emergency warrants drawn on the General Fund <br /> of the City of Everett . <br /> Section 5 : An emergency is declared to exist and thi. s <br /> ordinance shall take effect: upon its :n. .,_ en end publication . <br /> 724 Attest :_ ^^ _ City Clerk . <br /> Passed : Sept. 7th , 1943 . <br /> Published : Sept . 8th , 1943 . <br />
