ORDINANCE No. ,2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE to prohibit minors under Sixteen (16 ) year: <br /> of age of being on the streets, avenues , alleys , Iiarves, docks <br /> or other public places within the City of Everett between certain <br /> hours of the night , except in case of emergency ; prescribing <br /> penalties for the violation thereof and declaring an emergency. <br /> T1 T CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: It shall be and is hereby declared un- <br /> lawful for any person or persons, male or female, under the age <br /> of ixteen (16 ) years, to congregate, loiter or be upon the <br /> streets, avenues, alleys , viarves, docks or other public places <br /> within the limits of the City of Everett, during the months of <br /> May, Tune , July and August, between the hours of 10:00 o'clock <br /> P. M. , and 5:00 o'clock A. LI. , and during the other months of <br /> the year between the hours of 9:30 o'clock P. M. , and 5:00 <br /> o'clock A. M. , unless such person or persons shall be accompanied <br /> by his, her or their parent, guardian or other person having the <br /> legal custody of such minor person or some member of the family <br /> over Twenty-one ( 21) years of age , providing that this law <br /> shall not apply to such person or persons working under civilian <br /> defense, and further providing that such person or persons shall <br /> have credentials signed by the proper authorities showing the <br /> nature of their work. <br /> Section 2: The time herein referred to shall mean <br /> United States Pacific Her Time . <br /> Section 3 : Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance or any parent , guardian or other per- <br /> son having the legal custody or care of such minor person or <br /> persons as described in Section 1 of this ordinance , and who <br /> shall permit or suffer such person or persons to go or be in or <br /> upon any of the streets or other public places as aforesaid, <br /> within the limits of said City within the times mentioned in <br /> Section 1 of this ordinance, except as therein provided, shall <br /> be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof <br /> shall be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars <br /> ( 100 .00 ) or be confined in the City sail for a period not <br /> exceeding Ten (10) days or shall be punished by both such fine <br /> and imprisonment . <br /> Section 4: This is a war measure and this ordinance <br /> shall continue and be in full force and effect for the duration <br /> of the war and for Six (6) months thereafter. <br /> Section 5: An emergency is •_eclared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon i s p: sage and publication. <br /> ♦-14, <br /> I • Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: /- <br /> Published: - a /- �3 <br />
