" a <br /> 000WAtka <br /> eta <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2287-98 <br /> An Ordinance Amending the Land Use Map of the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> as adopted by Ordinance#2021-94, Exhibit "A," as amended, <br /> as Part of the Annual Update to the Comprehensive Plan Initiated in 1997, <br /> for Property Containing Approximately 10 acres Located on the Southeast Corner of 19th <br /> Avenue SE and 124th Street SE from"Single Family Detached, 10 to 12 Dwelling per <br /> Gross Acre"to "Multiple Family, 20 to 29 Dwellings per Gross Acre." <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in <br /> conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act, codified as RCW Chapter 36.70A, generally <br /> allows for comprehensive plans to be amended on an annual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett initiated its third annual comprehensive plan amendment <br /> process in July, 1997, which included consideration of Land Use Map amendment and <br /> rezone applications initiated by private property owners, including an application from <br /> JPI Properties, Inc. to change the land use designation for a property containing <br /> approximately 10 acres located on the southeast corner of 19th Avenue SE and 124th <br /> Street SE from "Single Family Detached, 10 to 12 Dwelling per Gross Acre"to "Multiple <br /> Family, 20 to 29 Dwellings per Gross Acre;" and <br /> WHEREAS, an environmental analysis of the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br /> amendments has been conducted by the City in compliance with the requirements of the <br /> State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has encouraged Public Participation in the consideration <br /> of Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, as required by the Growth Management Act, <br /> through a variety of notification procedures, including SEPA review, mailing to <br /> interested citizens and organizations, mailing to affected property owners, legal <br /> publication, posting of affected properties, and the City of Everett cable television <br /> bulletin board; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted Public Workshops and Public <br /> Hearings to consider all of the proposed amendments to the Land Use Map of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan which were initiated in 1997, including the JPI Properties, Inc. <br /> application, and has made recommendations to the City Council on each of the proposed <br /> map amendments; and <br />
