• ORDINANCE NO. 2600 An Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures for the replacement of a six (6) inch steel water pipe on the east side of sucker Avenue from Pacific Av- enue to 42nd Street and a Two (2) inch steel water pipe on the west side of Puck- er Avenue from Pacific Avenue to 44th Street, with the necessary appurtenances, connections and the doing of all other work required for the installation of wa- ter mains ; and making provision for the payment of the material used by issuing emergency warrants, the use of funds allocated by the Civil Works Administration in the employment of labor, and declaring an emergency. ', HER:AS , a public emergency other than those specifically decdsred in Section 6 , Chapter 158, Laws of '.fashington, 1923, and which emergency could not have rea- sonably been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1934, requires the expenditure of money not provided for in the said budget ; Now, Therefore TEE CITY OF EV PETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 . That a public emergency exists which could not have reasonably been seen at the time of making the budget for the year 1934, and which emergen- cy requires expenditures in the total estimated sum of Thirty-five Hundred (n3500) Dollars over and above the amount provided for in said budget of 1934, and which estimated sum is required in the replacement of a six (6) inch steel water pipe on the east side of Rucker Avenue from Pacific Avenue to 42nd Street and a. Two (2) inch steel water pipe on the west side of Rucker Avenue from Pacific Avenue to 44th Street , all in Everett, 1ashington, together with the necessary appurten- ances , connections and other work required in the installation of water mains, such work being made necessary by the determination of the State Highway Depart- ment to widen the pavement upon Fucker Avenue , the estimated cost of the materials to be used in such emergency installation of water mains being Thirty-five Hund- red ( ;3500) Dollars , and the labor to be paid by an allocation of funds from the Civil Works Administration under Federal and State aid grants; Section 2: That the said public emergency is one other than those specifi- cally declared in Section' 6, chapter 158, Laws of :Washington, 1923, and said em- ergency expenditures shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants drawn up- on funds of the Everett Water System for maintenance and operation in a sum not to exceed Thirty-five Hundred (tia350O) Dollars by the proper officers of the City of Everett , as provided by law, to be used for the purchase of materials, only.
