t- <br /> j. <br /> ..i <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2299-98 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance 2211-97 increasing the total <br /> estimated cost and appropriation for the special construction fund entitled"Parks <br /> CIP III Construction"Fund 354, authorizing the design and construction of <br /> various park improvements funded by the City of Everett Capital Improvement <br /> Program III. <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2211-97 was created to fund the design and construction of various <br /> park improvements funded by the City of Everett Capital Improvement Program III; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department has identified a number of <br /> community and recreational improvements to serve the recreational needs of the residents of <br /> Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council has reviewed a list of projects for inclusion in Capital <br /> Improvement Program III; <br /> WHEREAS, on February 25, 1998,the Everett City Council approved CIP III funding for the <br /> WE Hall Skateboard Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Department has completed work on the following projects <br /> included in Capital Improvement Program III: <br /> • Forest Park Playground Rehabilitation • Parkwide Parking Lot Overlay - <br /> Phase I <br /> • Edgewater Playground Rehabilitation • Riverfront Trail - Park Development <br /> Phase I <br /> WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Department has begun or will soon begin working on the <br /> following projects included in Capital Improvement Program III: <br /> • Legion Park Playground Rehabilitation • Parkwide Parking Lot Overlay - Phases <br /> • Silver Lake Playground Rehabilitation II - IV <br /> • Garfield Park Restroom Remodel • Forest& Garfield Parks Tennis Court <br /> Refurbishment <br /> • Silver Lake Reforestation <br /> • Legion Park Tennis Court <br /> • Jackson Park Restroom Remodel Refurbishment <br /> • Lowell Park Restroom Remodel • WE Hall & Lowell Parks Tennis Court <br /> • Lions Park Restroom Remodel Refurbishment <br /> • Legion Park Restroom Remodel • Howarth& Edgewater Tennis Court <br /> Refurbishment <br />
