ORDINANCE NO. 2406 An Ordinance amending Section 3. of ; rdinance No.2333 by providing for the manner in which the city license plates shall be attached on motor trucks, for the pro-rating of license fees on the motor vehicles mentioned in said section, and de- claring an emergency. THE )ITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: ¶hat section 5 of Ordinance Bo. 2333 be a- mended so as to read as follows: section 3: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate any motor truck or motor truck trail- er, other than such as are engaged in the dray or transfer bus- iness, or cause either of the same to be operated over, upon or along any street or alley of the Lity of :Jverett without hav- ing procured a license and license plates from the city clerk, payment of license fee on the following basis for one year hav- ing first been made to the city treasurer; w_otor Trucks or Motor Truck Trailers: weighing 1500 lbs. or less, 45.00. eighing more than 1500 lbs., , 5.00 and in addition there- to 20¢ per owt. for all weight in excess of 1500 lbs. , and al- so 20¢ per wt. of the rated carrying capacity of such motor trucks or motor truck trailers other than such as are engaged in the dray or transfer business. On-all license fees provided for in this section is- sued between the first day of September and the thirty-first day of December of any one year, only one-half of the regular rate named herein shall be charged. One of said license plates so procured from the city clerk shall be attached to the right hand side of said vehic- le and the other to the left hand side of said vehicle, ana attached in such manner that they will be conspicuous and in
