• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2331 . <br /> An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Twenty-fourth <br /> St., from Baker to Virginia Avenues, by grading and the construc- <br /> tion of a 6-inch one course Portland cement concrete pavement 24 <br /> feet wide, construction of concrete curbs, installation of neces- <br /> sary drainage, and doing all other work necessary in 'connection <br /> therewith to make a complete improvement, creating an assessment <br /> district, creating a Local Improvement District Fund therefor and <br /> providing that payment for said improvement be made by special <br /> assessment on the property in said District under the mode of <br /> payment by bonds. <br /> WHEREAS, a majority petition of the property owners, pe- <br /> titioning for said improvement, has heretofore been filed with <br /> the Commissioner of Public Works and said Commissioner has found <br /> the things set forth in said petition to be true; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has filed with <br /> the City Council all data and information, as required by law; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public 'Works has recommended <br /> to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made , <br /> and it appearing to the City Council that public convenience • <br /> and necessity requires such improvement to be made; now, there- <br /> fore, <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN; <br /> Section 1: That Twenty-fourth Street, from Baker to Vir- <br /> ginia Avenues, be improved by grading and the construction of <br /> a 6-inch one course Portland cement concrete pavement 24 feet <br /> wide, construction of concrete curbs, installation of necessa- <br /> ry drainage, and doing all other work necessary to make a com- <br /> plete improvement, according to the plans and specifications pre- <br /> pared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and <br /> -1 <br />
