Y r O_RDI NANC E NO. 2322 An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Oakes Ave., from 13th Street to 16th Street, by the installation of a 6-inch water main and its necessary appurtenances, and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, creating an assess- ment district, creating a local improvement district fund there- for, and providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds. WHEREAS, a Majority petition of the property owners, peti- tioning for said improvement, has heretofore been filed with the Commissioner of Public Works and said Commissioner has found the things set forth in said. petition to be true; and WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has filed with the City Council all data and information, as required by law; and WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has recommend- ed to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the City Council that public conven- ience and necessity requires such improvement to be made; now, therefore, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Oakes Ave., from 13th St. to 16th St. be improved by the installation of a 6-inch water main and its neces- sary appurtenances and doing all other work necessary to make a oomplete improvement, according to the plans and specifications, prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary incidental expenses, shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment dis- trict herein created in accordance with law.
