ORDINANCE NO. 2358-98 AN ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled "Marine View Drive, Alverson Bridge to North Broadway", Fund 305, to accumulate all costs for the improvement project and repealing Ordinance 2236-97. WHEREAS, the City of Everett is committed to street widening, drainage, pedestrian, bicycle and traffic improvements on Marine View Drive between Alverson Bridge and North Broadway; and WHEREAS,this project is part of the planned improvements to Marine View Drive and the City of Everett has received State Grants, Federal Grants, and other funds for these improvements; and WHEREAS, based on project changes, construction costs and additional funding, there is a need to revise the existing ordinance; and NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special improvement project is hereby established as Fund 305, "Marine View Drive, Alverson Bridge to North Broadway" to accumulate all costs for the improvement project and repealing Ordinance 2236-97. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 305 for design and construction of the improvement project. Section 3: Authorization is hereby granted for the "Engineering/Public Services Director", under direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 4: The sum of$3,684,880.00 is hereby appropriated to Fund 305, "Marine View Drive, Alverson Bridge to North Broadway" as follows: A. Estimated Project Costs Design $ 253,668 Right-of-Way $ 121,062 Construction $ 3,310,150 Total Estimated Cost $ 3,684,880
