• <br /> onitufeE So. pail <br /> . if <br /> An Ordinance submitting to the legal voters, of "thy ' city .:of <br /> Everett a proposed amendment to the Charter of. said city ,ith re'. <br /> r <br /> lation to the maximum tax levy for park purposes. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Seetic 1: That a proposed amendment to Sections 55 and 122 <br /> of the Charter of the City of Everett with relation to t'"e maximum <br /> \tax levy4cor park purposes be submitted to the legal vot rs of the <br /> City of Everett at a special municipal election to be he id in said <br /> Oity on Decenber 5, 1925. <br /> Section 2: Said proposed amendment shall be as f llows: <br /> Section 55: Annual Levy for Support of Parks: II order to <br /> maintain the parks, city cemeteries and` park system and t', provide <br /> for the expenses authorized by this article, the council shall le- <br /> vy each year and cause to be collected a tax of not more than one <br /> mill. <br /> Section 122: Limitation of Tax Levies: The counpil shall <br /> have authority to levy taxes upon all real and personal 'property, <br /> not exempt from taxation, each year as follows: <br /> For parks and cemetery, not exceeding one mill. <br /> For libraries, not exceeding eight-tenths of one ' ill. <br /> For" a . other purposes (except purposes mentione in the suc- <br /> ceeding section3 not exceeding nine mills. <br /> Section 3t That the form of ballot to be used a said el- <br /> ection be as follows: <br /> Park Tax Lever--An ordinance amending Sections 55 and 122 of <br /> the Charter of the City of Everett and providing that t e park tax <br /> levy shall be not to exceed one mill. <br /> For the Ordinance---.------„.-»---------- <br /> Against the Ordinance <br />
