././111V°Neela <br /> ,114 , .sti/i2g1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2363-99 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 1997 Edition <br /> of the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code Standards and repealing Ordinance No. 2074-95 <br /> (Chapter 16.04 EMC) <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this ordinance serves to protect the public <br /> health, safety and welfare; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the absence of the regulations adopted by <br /> this ordinance would create a public harm and a public nuisance; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the City is mandated by the State to <br /> implement and enforce the herein adopted code; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: This ordinance shall be known as the"Everett Plumbing Code." <br /> Section 2: The Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> Standards, together with Appendices A, B, C, D and H and the Installation Standards, as <br /> published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, as <br /> amended by WAC 51-46 and 51-47, being particularly the 1997 Edition thereof and the <br /> whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or <br /> amended are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated herein as fully as if set out at <br /> length herein , collectively herein referred to as the "Code" unless specifically provided <br /> otherwise. <br /> Section 3: Amendments Made in the Uniform Plumbing Code and the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code Standards. <br /> A. Section 101.2 of the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended by addition of the following: <br /> It is expressly the purpose of this Code to provide for and promote the health, <br /> safety and welfare of the general public and not to create or otherwise establish or <br /> designate any particular class or group of persons who will or should be especially <br /> protected or benefited by the terms of this Code. <br /> 1 <br />
