/ ORDINANCE NO 2182 . An Ordinance relating to Theatrical or motion picture exhibitions and to other public exhibitions , entertainments and places of amusement, providing a penalty for the violation thereof and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 : No Theatrical or motion picture exhibition, circus, performance , menagerie, opera, concert or other public exhibition, entertainment or amusement, shooting gallery, boxing arena, skating rinks, or other entertainment or amusement of a similar character shall be permitted within the corporate limits of the City of Everett without a license therefor from said city, provided, that this ordinance shall not apply to amateur exhibitions or performances. Section 2 : Licenses for any such exhibition, performance, show, entertainment , amusement or business , shall be issued by the City Clerk upon application therefor and shall be, by said City Clerk, delivered to the City Treasurer of said City, who shall collect the: amount of the license fee fixed by the ordinance to be paid for such license and upon payment to him of said amount shall deliver said license to the applicant therefor.
