ORDINANCE NO. 2163 . <br /> An Ordinance relating to the , exploding, use, <br /> purchase or sale of fire crackers and other powder explosives. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 : It shall be unlawful for any person to fire, <br /> discharge, explode, use, purchase, sell or offer for sale any squib, <br /> fire cracker, torpedo, dynamite cane or other fire works or powder <br /> explosive within the limits of the City of xLverett, provided however, <br /> that the above shall not apply to the manufacture or keeping of the <br /> same by manufacturers, jobbers or wholesalers for use or sale outside <br /> the limits of the City of Everett under rezulations prescribed by the <br /> Fire c .ief and the Commissioner of Safety and provided further, that <br /> there may be displays of fire works and that fire works may be sold <br /> or purchased for such display for public purposes or public occasions <br /> under the joint supervision or control of the Fire Chief and the <br /> Commissioner of safety. <br /> Section 2 : Any person, firm, corporation or other asso- <br /> ciation of persons, convicted of any violation of this ordinance <br /> shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not to exce€d <br /> 100,00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail of not to <br /> exceed (30) Thirty days or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> .„.17 , <br /> jll , , .-- <br /> Mayor <br /> Passed: Octobei 21, 1924 <br /> Attest : ez—_ -- z , -- <br /> City Clerk <br /> Published: October 23, 1924 <br />
