• 41 ORDINANCE NO. 2131 An Ordinance emending Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 1749 by providing for the transfer to the Department of Finance, of the auditing and accounting of the Water Department ; abandoning the offices of Cashier and Assistant Cashier of the Water Department and repealing Section 25 of Ordinance No.1749 ,relating to bonds of said Cashier and Assistant Cashier and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No.1749, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 1 : There is hereby created in the City of Everett a sub-department, to be known as the Water Department , which sub-department shall be under the Department of Public Works, except however, that the accounting, auditing and finances of said sub- department shall be under the Department of finance; provided however, that all salaries and expenses of said sub-department shall be paid out of the funds of said water department." Section 2 : That Section 2 of Ordinance No.1749, be and: the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 2 : There shall be in said Water Department the following officers and employees: One superintendent , one foreman of l i�". construction and maintenance, one blacksmith, one pipe fitter, inspectors, one pump operator, one time and storekeeper, and so many laborers as may be necessary. Additional pipe fitters,inspectors, pump operators, and time keepers may be appointed temporarily, as needed."
