• <br /> 41 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2131 <br /> An Ordinance emending Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. <br /> 1749 by providing for the transfer to the Department of Finance, of the <br /> auditing and accounting of the Water Department ; abandoning the offices <br /> of Cashier and Assistant Cashier of the Water Department and repealing <br /> Section 25 of Ordinance No.1749 ,relating to bonds of said Cashier <br /> and Assistant Cashier and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No.1749, be and <br /> the same is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> "Section 1 : There is hereby created in the City of <br /> Everett a sub-department, to be known as the Water Department , which <br /> sub-department shall be under the Department of Public Works, except <br /> however, that the accounting, auditing and finances of said sub- <br /> department shall be under the Department of finance; provided however, <br /> that all salaries and expenses of said sub-department shall be paid <br /> out of the funds of said water department." <br /> Section 2 : That Section 2 of Ordinance No.1749, be and: <br /> the same is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> "Section 2 : There shall be in said Water Department the <br /> following officers and employees: One superintendent , one foreman of <br /> l i�". <br /> construction and maintenance, one blacksmith, one pipe fitter, <br /> inspectors, one pump operator, one time and storekeeper, and so <br /> many laborers as may be necessary. Additional pipe fitters,inspectors, <br /> pump operators, and time keepers may be appointed temporarily, as <br /> needed." <br />
