40 ORDINANCE SO 2128 An Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures, the issuance of emergency warrants therefor and declaring an emergency. Whereas, a public emergency, other than those specifi- cally described in Section 6, Chapter 164, Law: of 1923, and which said emergency could not reasonably have been forseen,at the time of making the budget for the year 1924, requires the expenditure of money not provided for in said budget, the estimated amount of money required to meet said emergency being in the sum of y6500.00, now therefore . THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 : That a public emergency •xist8t Wash could not reasonably have been forseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1924 and which emergency requires an expendi- ture in the estimated sum of not to exceed : 6500.00 over and above the amount provided for in said budget of 1924, and which estimated .::um of not to exceed ke.500.00 is required for the purchase of right- of-way for a public street and highway across Blocks 1,6,16 and 17 Central Park Addition; Blocks 19,21 a nd22 Victory Heights Addition; Block 19 Liberty Addition End Blocks 23 and 24 Replat of South Park Addition, over and across certain lots in said Blocks in the City • of Everett, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit : That portion of a strip of land one hundred (100) feet wide, across Blocks 1,6,16 end 17 Central ^ark Addition; Blocks 19,21 and 22 Victory heights Addition; Block 19 Liberty Addition and Blocks 23 and 24 Replat of South Park Addition; said one hundred (100) foot strip being fifty (b0) feet on each side of the following described center line :
