illkll.l.II!llIlIllIll4P ORDINAMOE ITO. ;.,,G,3E1 An ordinance providing for the licensing of the business of , 'letting out passenger automobiles or other /Zoior propelled passenger vehi cies for hire, providing floi" thc regula.tiopi-' of sald usinets, and b' -I- 1 , for a Penalty for the violati ii. thereof. 2 : THE CI TY OP .- TEPIat DO-ES AIN: /5 Section 1 : It shala be unlawful to engage in the business 4 of letting out for hire any passenger automobile or other motor pro- pelled passenger vehicle without first having obtained from the City 6 Clerk of the City of Everett a license to engage in such business , 7 the license fee f or the peri od of one year shall be the sum of 8 Section 2 : It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, 9 • co-partnership or association cfpersons engaged in the business set 19 forth in Section 1 of this ordinance to let out any such vehicle for hire to any person who has not an operators license from the State of 12 : Washington, or to do so wi.thout first requiring the person or persons 13 hiring any such vehicle to sign the register mentioned in Section 3 14 ' of this ordinance. 15 , Section 3 : It shall be unlawful to engage in the business , i 16 i set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance without keeping a register 17 in which there shall be kept the name, age, sex, number of operators 18 license, time of taking **e vehicle and the time of returning the 19 same, and the date thereof, and also a space in said resister to be 20 signed by the person or persons hiring a4y .such vehicle. 21 Section 4 : Any person , co-partnership,, company or cor- 22 poration or association of persons violating any of the provisi ons 23 of this ordinance all ,sh upon c onvi c ti on, be punished by a fine not 24 to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jai 1, not to exeeed 25 30 days , or by both such fine and 1 mp ri s onm e nt, and when any c om- 26 pany, association of persons or corporation violates any of the 27 provisions of this ordinance the President, Vice-President, Secreta,ri 28 Treasurer or manager, or any person having charge of the business 29 30 31
