ORDINANCE NO. 2401-99 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance 2346-98 increasing the total estimated cost and appropriation for the special construction fund entitled "Parks CIP III Construction"Fund 354, authorizing the design and construction of various park improvements funded by the City of Everett Capital Improvement Program III. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2346-98 increased the total estimated cost and appropriation for the Special construction fund entitled"Parks CIP III Construction" Fund 354; and WHEREAS, the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department has experienced increased costs on several of the projects due to unanticipated environmental hazards; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council wishes to continue with the construction on these park improvements; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2346-98 must be amended to appropriate additional funding; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No 2346-98, which amended Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2299-98 and Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2211-97, reads as follows: The sum of$4,099,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, "Parks CIP III Construction" as follows: A. Estimated Project Costs Preliminary Engineering, Design, and Construction $4,099,000 Total Estimated Cost $4,099,000 B. Source of Funds Intergovernmental Revenue $60,000 Fund 154 - Capital Improvement Program III $4,039,000 Total Estimated Funds $4,099,000 C. This appropriation shall not lapse, but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned without the necessity of reappropriation.
