RESOLUTION NO. ______________ <br />A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple-year sole- <br />source purchase, with the first year at no cost, of Flock Safety® Drone as a First Responder and <br />Drone Dock and associated services from Flock Safety® <br />WHEREAS, <br />1.The City chose Flock Safety® Drone as a First Responder and Drone Dock and associated services <br />for Everett Police Department operations and <br />2.Flock Safety is the sole manufacturer, developer, and distributor of the Flock Safety® Drone as a <br />First Responder and Drone Dock and associated services and <br />3.As long as Flock Safety is the only authorized provider of the Flock Safety® Drone as a First <br />Responder and Drone Dock and associated services, it is in the City’s best interests to approve <br />the sole source purchase for multiple years rather than on an annual basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: <br />There is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Flock Safety® Drone as a First <br />Responder and Drone Dock, as well as associated services for Everett Police Department operations. The <br />City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of the Flock Safety® <br />Drone as a First Responder and Drone Dock and associated services from Flock Safety, which will extend <br />for multiple years, at no cost in year one for the first drone with radar (and $50,000 for a second drone <br />for the first year to allow full city coverage), and approximately $307,000 per year per drone with radar <br />in the years thereafter. <br />_________________________________________ <br />Councilmember introducing resolution <br />Passed and approved this _____ day of ___________________, 2025. <br />______________________________________ <br />Council President <br />8159 <br />9th April
