Per the meeting, I mentioned I would email a
"Deck Tip Sheet" (also attached) that will be helpful when preparing the drawings. As discussed, removal of the decks
will likely not be necessary (from a Building Code standpoint). There *could* be additional work needed in the event
the deck was not built up to code in order to bring it in to compliance with the 2018 IRC (International Residential Code).
Feel free to reach out (or someone else on your behalf) if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
— Ryan Hammer
Residential Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M-F: 8:30 a.m. — 12 p.m & 1 p.m. — 3 p.m.
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and maybe subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
