• • a ‘11fr ORDINANCE NO. 179B An ordinance providing for the improvement of Federal Street from the north line of Thirtythird Street to the north line of Thirtyfifth Street, by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of concrete pavement, concrete curb and necessary concrete walks, installation of necessary drainage, and doing such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement, approving the plans and specifications for such improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of "Payment by Bonds". WHEREAS, a majority petition of the property-owners petitioning for said improvement has heretofore been filed with the commissioner of public works, and said commissioner found the things set forth in said petition to be true, and WHEREAS, said commissioner of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improvement as required by law, and WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has recommended to the city council that such improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the city council that public convenience and necessity requires such improvement be wade, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Federal Street from the north line of Thirtythird Street to the north line of Thirtyfifth Street be improved by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, con- struction of concrete pavement, concrete curb and necessary con- crete walks, installation of necessary drainage, and doing such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement according to plans and specifications prepared under the direction
