ORDINANCE NO. 1 (93- <br /> An ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation to be paid <br /> in the Police Department of the city of Everett, and to the City <br /> Hall janitor, amending Ordinance No. 1575 of the city of Everett <br /> as amended by Ordinance No. 1629, and declaring an emergency. <br /> TH7 CITY OF 7VERETT DOTS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1575 cf the <br /> city cf Everett be and the same is hereby amended to read as fol- <br /> lows: <br /> "Section 2: That from and after the first day of May, 1917, <br /> the salary and compensation to be paid to the following named <br /> officers and employees shall be as follows: Stenographer to the <br /> commissioners, seventyfive dollars per month; city hall janitor, <br /> seventyfive dollars per month". <br /> Section 2: That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1575 as <br /> amended by Ordinance No. 1629 of the city of Everett be and the <br /> same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 6: That from and after the first day of May, <br /> 1917, the salaries and compensation to be paid to the following <br /> na:.ed officers and assistants shall be as follows: Captain, one <br /> hundred five dollars per month; sergeants, ninetyfive dollars per <br /> month each; detectives, ninetyfive dollars per month each; jailor, <br /> ninety dollars per month; patrol drivers, eighty dollars per month <br /> each; third grade patrolmen, eighty dollars per month each; second <br /> grade patrolmen, eightyfive dollars per month each; first grade <br /> patrolmen, ninety dollars per month each; travelers ' aid police <br /> woman, ten dollars per month". <br /> Section 3: WHEREAS, it is desirable that the above <br /> ordinance take effect immediately, an emergency is declared to <br /> exist and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> Passed MAY 1 5 1911 <br /> Mayor.Attest r rf7.4; <br /> di „ nerz. <br /> Published MAY 1 7 1917 <br />
