• ORDINANCA NO. 1 1i An ordinance providing for the improvement of Averett Avenue from Broadway to walnut Street, by clearing and grubbing, grad- ing, re-grading, parking, construction of concrete curbs, gutters, cement walks, complete drainage system, installation of fire hydrants, paving with asphalt upon a suitable concrete foundation, grading and raking parking strips, and doing other work in connection therewith that may be necessary to complete said improvement, creating a local improvement district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, and providing that payment for said improve- ment be made by special assessments on property in said district by the mode of "Payment by Bonds" . WHARAAS, A majority petition of the property-owners peti- tioning for the improvement has heretofore been filed with the com- missioner of public works, and said commissioner found the things set forth in said petition to be true, and WH, R +' 'S, Said commissioner of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improve- ment as is required by law, and WHARAAS, The commissioner of public works has recommended to the city council that such improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the city council that public convenience and necess- ity requires said improvement to be made, NOW THARAFORA, THi CITY OF AV.TT DO.S ORDAIN: Section 1; That . verett Avenue from Broadway to Walnut Street be improved by clearing and grubbing, grading, re-grading, parking, construction of concrete curbs, gutters, cement walks , coin.. plate drainage syatem, installation of fire hydrants, paving with asphalt - upon a suitable concrete foundation, grading and raking parking strips, and doing such other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to complete the improvement, such improvement to be
