. <br /> . <br /> ORDINANCA No. _ � i `-, <br /> An ordinance amending Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1575 of <br /> the city of Averett, entitled "An ordinance fixing the salaries and <br /> compensation to be paid to the several officers of the city of <br /> .everett, and their assistants and employees in said city, repealing <br /> ordinances numbers 826, 1482, 1540, 1542, and declaring an emergency", <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> THA CITY OP AV TT DOHS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1575 of the <br /> city of .mverett, passed February 24, 1914, and published February <br /> 26, 1914, and entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 6: That from and after the first day of December, <br /> 191 the salaries and compensation to be paid to the following <br /> named officers and assistants, shall be as follows: <br /> Captain, one hundred dollars per month; sergeants, ninety <br /> dollars per month each; detectives , ninety dollars per month each; <br /> jailor, eightyfive dollars per month; patrol drivers, seventy-five <br /> dollars per month each; third grade patrolmen, seventy-five dollars <br /> per month each; second grade patrolmen, eighty dollars per month <br /> each; first grade patrolmen, eighty-five dollars per month each. <br /> Section 2: WHARAAS, It is desirable that the above <br /> ordinance take effect immediately, an emergency is declared to exist <br /> and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> 461'%ellq:6Y� <br /> Passed DEC 15 1914 /-�_ ;,..77,/ <br /> Attest <-'Cc-� --5' <br /> Gri ty Clerk. <br /> Published DEC 17 1914 <br />
