• • ORDI TANCA NO. 1628 An ordinance providing for the improvement of the alley between Wetmore Avenue and Rockefeller Avenue, from Hewitt Avenue to California Street, by grading to proper grade, paving with concrete, construction of complete drainage system, and doing all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to complete the improve- ment, all in accordance with a majority petition of the property- owners heretofore filed with the commissioner of public works, creat- ing a local improvement district, creating a local improvement dist- rict fund therefor, and providing that the payment of said improve- ment be made by mode of 'Payment by Bonds ' , and repealing Sections 1, 2, 3 and 5 of Ordinance No. 1513 of the city of ' verett. THx CITY OP AV TT DOSS ORDAIN: Section 1: That the alley between Wetmore Avenue and Rockefeller Avenue , from Hewitt Avenue to California Street, be improved by grading to proper grade, paving with concrete, construc- tion of complete drainage system, and doing other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to complete the improvement, such improvement to be made according to plans and specifications therefor prepared under the direction of the city engineer and Ow on file in the office of the city engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary and incidental expenses, shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment dist- rict hereby created in accordance with law. The city of Aver. ett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the cost of such improvement.
