ROL• ' CALL <br /> ORDINANCA NO. ,'r <br /> An ordinance amending Sections 13 and 15 of Ordinance No. <br /> 1473, passed November 21, 1912, and entitled "An ordinance providing <br /> for the licensing and regulating of the traffic in intoxicating <br /> liquors in the city of Averett, providing penalties for violation <br /> thereof, and repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith, and <br /> declaring an emergency". <br /> TEA CITY OF AVJ RJ TT DOi S ORLAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1473 of the <br /> city of Averett, passed November 21, 1912, and entitled as above <br /> set forth, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 13: No license shall ever be granted, transferred <br /> or renewed, nor shall any transfer of the place where such business <br /> is conducted be permitted except by two-thirds vote of the City <br /> Council. <br /> Section 2: That Section 15 of said ordinance No. 1473 be, <br /> and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 15: It shall be unlawful to have any cigar or <br /> boot-black stand, or any other obstruction in front of any saloon, <br /> and it shall be unlawful for the owner, manager or employee of any <br /> saloon to obstruct or permit to be obstructed at any time the view of <br /> the inside thereof, from the outside, by means of any screen, shade, <br /> or other device. <br /> No closed boxes shall ever be permitted in any saloon. <br /> l�L f /i <br /> Passed SEP 2 9 19T4 <br /> Attest <br /> City Clerk. <br /> Published OCT 1 1914 <br />
