, a <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. \V � <br /> An ordinance providing for the licensing of itinerant <br /> merchants and persons moving stocks of goods to the city of Everett <br /> to be disposed of or sold in said city, providing penalties for the <br /> violations thereof, repealing Ordinance No. 608, and declaring an <br /> emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EV. R.ETT DOHS ORDAIN; <br /> Section 1 That no per o; tabling 'ron place to place, <br /> or itinerant merchant, shall'; rig into tIe city, of Averett any <br /> a <br /> stock of clothing,por t er goods , wares r m,etchandise, to be sold <br /> in said city, rwatno t procu ,r lense to make such sales , from <br /> R <br /> the city clerk, ands' o i r`f-° n all bring into said city any stock <br /> of clothing, or goods , wares or Verchandise to be sold at reduced <br /> rates in said city, without procuring a license to make such sales, <br /> from the city clerk; provided, that this shall not apply to any <br /> merchant of said city regularly engaged in business therein, if the <br /> stock of goods so brought into said city by him is of the sane gen- <br /> eral kind as is usually carried by him and constitutes only a minor <br /> part of his usual stock. <br /> Section 2: Such license shall not be granted for a period <br /> of less than five days , and the fee for such license shall be at the <br /> rate of twenty-five ($25) dollars per day, payable in advance for the <br /> period for which such license is issued. <br /> Section 3: Such license shall be revocable at any time by <br /> the city council whenever the holder of such license has violated <br /> any of the provisions of this ordinancetand in case of revocation, <br /> the unearned portion of the license fee shall be forfeited to the olty. <br /> Section 4: Any person violating any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment <br /> not to exceed thirty (30) days , or by a fine of not less than twenty- <br /> five ( 25) dollars nor more than one hundred ($100) dollars , or by <br />
