• <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> An ordinance amending Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1503, <br /> entitled "An ordinance creating the office of Pound Master, prescrib- <br /> ing his duties, fixing his compensation, and providing for the <br /> licensing and regulation of the keeping of dogs in the city of <br /> Averett, and providing for the impounding, redemption, selling, and <br /> killing of dogs, and providing penalties for the violation thereof, <br /> repealing Ordinances numbers 1192 and 1411, and declaring an emerge» <br /> ency", and declaring an emergency. <br /> THA CITY OF r.'VARATT DOAS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1503 of the <br /> city of iverett, entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 13: Said Pound Raster shall receive in full <br /> compensation for his services the following fees , to-wit: 4i.00 for <br /> each $2.00 dog license sold; $1.50 for each $3.00 license sold; <br /> $1.50 for each cow or horse impounded; $1.50 for each dog killed; <br /> fifty cents for each cat killed. Said compensation for each month <br /> shall be paid the first of the following month by the Chief of Police <br /> out of the fees collected by him under this ordinance. The balance <br /> of said fees collected shall be turned over to the City Treasurer; <br /> provided, if there is not sufficient fees collected to pay said com- <br /> pensation:, the balance shall be paid from such fund as the City <br /> Council may direct. <br /> Section 2: An emergency is declared to exist, and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> FEB 3 . r Mayor. <br /> Passed 1914 <br /> Attest <br /> ity Clerk. <br /> Published FEB 5 - 104 <br />
