• <br /> 4: Ilk <br /> ORDINANCE NO../� <br /> An ordinance authorizing the city council of the city of <br /> Everett to purchase a triple combination pumping engine, and declar- <br /> ing an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF E'VERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section• 1: That the city council of the city of Everett <br /> be and it is hereby authorized under the terms herein provided, to <br /> purchase a triple combination pumping engine, chemical and hose body, <br /> at a cost of not to exceed _.Twelve Thousand ( #12,000.00) Dollars <br /> Section 2: Said pumping engine shall conform to such speci- <br /> fications as the city council shall determine. Before purchasing <br /> said pumping engine the council shall advertise for bids for the same, <br /> and the notice calling for said bids shall be in such form as the <br /> council shall direct, and shall be published at least three (3) times <br /> in the official newspaper of said city, and the time for considering <br /> such bids shall not be less than ten days after the first publica'. <br /> tion of said notice. The city council may reject any and all bids, <br /> or may accept the bid which in its opinion is the best bid. <br /> Section 3: Said pumping engine shall be paid for in the <br /> following manner: One-third of the purchase price shall be paid at <br /> the time of the delivery and acceptance of the same by the city, <br /> one-third one year from said time, and one-third two years from said <br /> time. <br /> Section 4: WHEREAS, it is necessary that the city of <br /> .verett purchase a pumping engine for the purpose of furnishing <br /> proper fire protection to said city, an emergency is declared to <br /> exist and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> ���� �. 1 19�3 Mayor. <br /> Passed ..�_ .� <br /> Attest <br /> t erk. <br /> NOV 1913 <br /> Published <br />
