ORDINANCE An ordinance providing for the improvement of Twenty- sixth Street from Cleveland Avenue to Walnut Street, by clearing and grubbing, grading to proper grade, construction of cement walks , curb and gutter, plank cross walks, drainage system, raking and seeding of parking strips, installation of fire hydrants, and doing such other. work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with Resolution No. 1971 of the city of Everett, creating a local improvement district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, and providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said district by mode of "Payment by Bonds". THA CITY OP AVVR TT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Twenty-sixth Street from Cleveland Avenue to Walnut Street be improved by clearing and grubbing, grading to proper grade, construction of cement walks , curb and gutter, plank cross walks , drainage system, raking and seeding of parking strips, installation of fire hydrants, and doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, such improvement to be made according to the plans and specifications therefor prepared under the direction of the city engineer and now on file in the office of the city engineer, which said plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary and incidental expenses, shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district hereafter created in accordance with law. The city of . ver_ att shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the cost and expense of such improvement.
