• <br /> ORDNANCE NO. <br /> An ordinance amending Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1482, <br /> entitled "An ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation to be <br /> paid to the several officers of the city of Everett and their <br /> assistants and employees of said city, repealing Ordinances 1436, <br /> 1445 , and 1453 of the city of . ver•ett, and all ordinances and parts <br /> of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency" , and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF r'VERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 5 , of Ordinance :To. 1482 of the <br /> city of Everett entitled as above set forth, be and the same is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 5: That from and after July 1 , 1913, the salaries <br /> and compensation to be paid to the following named officer of the <br /> city of Everett and his assistants are hereby fixed as follows: <br /> Chief of 'Police, one hundred fifty ($15O.00) dollars per month; two <br /> (2) sergeants , ninety ($90.00) dollars per month each; one (1) jailer <br /> eighty-five ( 85. 00) dollars per month; eleven (11) patrolmen, eighty- <br /> five ($85.00) dollars per month each; four (4) patrolmen, seventy- <br /> five (05.00 ) dollars per month each; two (2) desk clerks, sixty <br /> (36O.oc) dollars per month each. <br /> Section 2: WHEREAS , it is necessary that the above ordi- <br /> nance take effect at once, an emergency is declared to exist and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Passed <br /> AUG 1 9 1913 Mayor. <br /> Attest i ty Clerk. <br /> erk. <br /> Published 1��.►G 1 1913 <br />
