WHEREAS , it is necessary that the city of Everett purchase at once a road roller for the use of the Street Department of said city, and WHEREAS , the. Commissioner of Public Works has investigated the rollers available for that purpose, and has found that the Austin Gasoline Road Roller is the best roller that can be purchased, an emergency is declared to exist, and it shall not be necessary to advertise for bids in purchasing a road roller. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OP EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the romniissioner of Public 7orks be and he is hereby authorized to purchase an Austin Gasoline Road Roller for a sum not to exceed Thirty-two Hundred. Fifty ( 3250.00) Dollars. Section 2: That the romrnissioner of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to sell a one-horse roller, a grader, and a patrol wagon now owned but not used by the city of Everett, for the sum of Two Hundred Fifty (,$250.oa) Dollars. Section_ 3: That the Commissioner of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to apply the proceeds of the sale of the articles mentioned in Section 2 hereof on the purchase price of said road roller, and the balance of the purchase price of said road roller shall be paid in the following manner: One Thousand ($1000.00)
