<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ______________ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION Declaring a 2018 Ford E-450 StarsTrans Senator II Surplus and Authorizing <br />Disposition <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />A. The City has 2018 Ford E-450 StarsTrans Senator II. <br />B. The above-referenced vehicle is surplus and no longer of value or use to the City. <br />C. Chapter 3.88 EMC establishes a procedure and methods for disposition of surplus City-owned <br />personal property. <br />D. Based on the guidelines set forth in EMC 3.88.020, disposition of the surplus vehicle in the <br />manner described in this resolution best furthers the general welfare of the citizens of the City <br />and is in the City’s best interests. <br />E. The City’s Procurement Manager has reported the basis for the estimated value of the surplus <br />vehicle and has recommended the disposition of the surplus vehicle in the manner described in <br />this resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: <br />1. The City has a 2018 Ford E-450 StarsTrans Senator II. This vehicle is surplus and no longer of <br />value or use to the City. <br />2. The City Council authorizes the disposition of this surplus vehicle to a 501(c)(3) organization that <br />will use the vehicle for paratransit services. The organization will be chosen by a formal <br />selection process. The organization will be required to sign an agreement obligating the vehicle <br />for paratransit use and obligating the organization to submit reports to Everett Transit on <br />vehicle usage. The Mayor and Transit Director are each authorized to take all actions and sign <br />all documents necessary to start and complete the selection process and to cause transfer of the <br />vehicle to the selected organization. <br />3. If a suitable 501(c)(3) organization is not found for the surplus vehicle, then disposition of the <br />vehicle by public auction is authorized. <br /> <br />_________________________________________ <br />Councilmember introducing Resolution <br /> <br /> <br />Passed and approved this _____ day of ___________________, 2026. <br /> <br />______________________________________ <br />8299 <br />29th April
