May 20, 2026 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., May 20, 2026, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Weir, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Burbano, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Zarlingo was excused. <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Bader recited the land acknowledgement. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin commented on her attendance at the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Snohomish <br />County Campus to read the names of the fallen service members from this last year. She stated <br />this upcoming weekend is the Cruzin’ to Colby event. Mayor Franklin congratulated the Everett <br />Silvertips for winning the WHL Championship on Saturday and the rally that took place welcoming <br />the Silvertips home after their win. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the May 13, 2026, meeting were approved. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following members of the public spoke: Anneka Beach-Garcia, Spencer Jones, Rene Pairoa, <br />Duane Dow, William Parent, and June Scholer. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Weir commented on the Cruzin’ to Colby event this upcoming weekend. She <br />stated the Schack Artist Garage Sale is on May 30. She stated the Delta and Northwest <br />Neighborhood meetings are this upcoming week. She also stated The Ice Cream Bar on Colby is <br />doing a donation event for the Volunteers of America Western Washington Housing Program. <br />Council Member Rhyne commented on two ride-alongs with the Crisis Response Team and Drone <br />First Responder Program and reminded the community of the public facing dashboard for Drone
