t i F t ORDINANCE NO. \Lk.S V An ordinance providing for the improvement of T.,enty-first Street from Rucker Avenue to Hoyt Avenue by the removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of asphalt pavement, construction of cement walks , construction of cement alley crossings, concrete curb, complete drainage system, rolling, raking and seeding of parking strips, and all other work in connection therewith, creat- ing a local improvement district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, and providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on property in said district by- mode of 'payment by bonds' . WHEREAS , a majority petition of property-owners petition- ing for the above improvement has heretofore been filed with the commissioner of public works, and said commissioner found the things sat forth in said petition to be true , and WHEREAS, said commissioner of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improve- ment as is required by law, and WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has recommended to the city council that said improvement petitioned for be made, . and it appearing to the council that public convenience requires that said improvement be made, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EV.ERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Twenty-first Street from Rucker Avenue to Hoyt Avenue be improved by the removal of old. lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of asphalt pavement, construction of cement walks , construction of cement alley crossings, concrete curb, complete drainage system, rolling, raking and seeding of parking strips , and all other work in connection therewith, such improvement to be made according to the plans and specifications therefor prepared under the direction of the city engineer and now on file in the office of the city engineer. .
